Getting started: your first steps on Couponeau App

This guide takes you from an empty account to a running automated strategy. Follow the four steps in order — each takes a few minutes, and your personal manager can walk through any of them with you on a call.

By the end you will have a registered, secured account connected to the markets, monitoring configured for the assets you care about, and a dashboard you know how to read.

Your personal manager will contact you within 24 hours.

Step 1

Register your account

Fill in the registration form with your name, email and phone number, and set a password. Choose a password you use nowhere else — a password manager generates one in seconds. As soon as your account exists, enable two-factor authentication: it pairs your password with a rotating code from an authenticator app, so a stolen password alone is useless. Store the backup codes offline when you set it up.

After registration, expect a call from your personal manager — usually within 24 hours. They confirm your details, help you complete identity verification (a passport or driver's licence is enough — see the AML/KYC page), and answer anything the platform documentation leaves unclear.

  • Use your real legal name — it must match the documents you verify with and the account you deposit from.
  • Sign in only from the address bar domain you registered on; bookmark it on day one.
  • Turn on login notifications so you hear about every new-device sign-in.
Step 2

Connect securely through the platform

Automated strategies operate through restricted API connections to partner venues. On Couponeau App the connection is created inside your dashboard — you do not handle raw API keys yourself unless you choose advanced mode. The default connection requests read and trade rights only; withdrawal rights stay disabled, which means the platform can never move funds out of your account even if something went catastrophically wrong.

If you connect an external exchange account in advanced mode, create the API key in that exchange's security settings with the same minimal permissions, bind it to our system's IP range if the exchange offers that option, and never share the key with anyone — no legitimate service, including ours, needs withdrawal permissions or your secret key by email.

  • Check the connection status indicator after any exchange announces maintenance.
  • Rotate keys every few months from the Security section.
  • Revoke immediately and contact support if an exchange reports unfamiliar key activity.
Step 3

Configure analysis and monitoring

Now you decide what the engine watches and how it behaves. Choose the trading pairs and asset classes to follow — for a first strategy, the major crypto pairs and one or two FX majors are plenty. Set entry conditions in plain parameters (trend direction, volatility band, probability threshold) or start from a ready-made strategy built by experienced traders and adjust its risk limits.

Configure notifications: strategy start and stop, daily summary, and alerts when a risk guard pauses trading. The daily summary email is worth keeping on even if you ignore everything else — it is how you notice a strategy drifting from its expected behaviour.

  • Start with one strategy and the smallest deposit you planned — add complexity only after a month of reading the results.
  • Set the maximum acceptable loss per strategy; the engine enforces it automatically.
  • Remember that risk guards pause trading in extreme volatility — that is protection working, not a malfunction.
Step 4

View and manage from the dashboard

The dashboard is organised around four things: Overview — current balance, open positions and today's activity; Strategies — start, stop or edit parameters, with each strategy's history in one place; Cashier — deposits, withdrawals and their statuses; Security — sessions, devices, API connections and the full audit log. Everything is readable without trading jargon, and anything you do not understand links to its explanation.

Two habits make the dashboard genuinely useful: a weekly ten-minute review of each strategy's performance (not a daily one — market noise dominates short windows), and a monthly export of the audit log for your own records.

Important: no strategy, automated or manual, is a guarantee of profit. Markets can move against any setup, losses are part of trading, and the investment decisions — how much to invest, which strategies to run, when to stop — remain yours. Read the Risk disclosure before your first deposit.
